About Volunteering
Some members come to us already trained in the EMS field as firefighters and EMT’s while others join with no previous experience and receive training. Our volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds including high school students, college students, nurses, school bus drivers and technology consultants to name a few.Ettrick-Matoaca Volunteer Rescue Squad needs your help! We will provide you with all of the training that’s necessary, at our cost, to help you learn how to help us save lives.

Our commitment to the community is to provide the BEST level of emergency medical care and this commitment requires people, training, equipment, and needless to say, financial support from our community. Although a portion of our operating funds come from billed services for transport, your donations are still critical to our organization.
